THE NIKKI LOPEZ FILE

SANDY NICOLE LOPEZ · 32 · MOTHER OF FOUR · FOUND DEAD IN HER BED
August 20, 2026 · 2948 Detroit Road, Niles, Michigan · MSP Case #53-2136-26 · Pokagon Tribal Police #26-1397
What this file is. This file is not about Nikki. She is the reason for it. Nikki Lopez cannot be hurt by anything in these pages, and nothing here is aimed at her. The subjects of this file are the offices that held her case — every title, every agency, every sworn statement and every silence, laid out in their own paper. She is the victim. They are the record.
About the names in the exhibits. The names of private people are blacked out of the public exhibits: family members who asked to stay anonymous, and the family’s lawyer, who asked that his name not be given. Only three of her family speak publicly — her mother, her cousin Kimberly Martinez, and her brother — and everyone else is left in peace. The unedited originals are preserved, complete, and can be produced to any court. The public does not need their names to see what the officials did. The officials are named, in full, because the officials are the subject.

Every file in this series is built the same way: public records, exhibited in full, and nothing in them that the paper does not say. Finish one file, and the next is waiting — the loop does not close.

THE SHAWN APPS FILE

Thirteen appointments. Six terminations for cause. Four waiver denials — every one of them in the training academy’s own ledger, and the departments kept hiring him anyway. This is the file that started the series: one officer’s whole career, in the government’s own paper.
